We want you to be independent, have self-confidence and feel proud of yourself.
The CEIAG programme helps to support you towards this goal.
Each one of you should be prepared for the future and realise what opportunities could come to you. We do this through the school curriculum.
To help you to make choices we provide a Careers Advisor for you and your parents/carers to talk to.
We try to provide you with as many activities as possible to help broaden your experiences.
Careers – Year 8 – 11
The school has its own Careers Advisor who offers independent Post 16 guidance to the pupils. They also work alongside the PSE staff with the delivery of the curriculum. In addition, the school is building links with a variety of local businesses who are keen to engage with our pupils. The school is currently working towards regaining Investors in Careers accreditation.
As part of our Investors in Careers Initiative the school has launched its own dedicated careers website, Careers Companion to pupils in Years 9, 10 and 11.
The website provides a wealth of information about jobs, training, courses and career pathways. It is designed to provide information which will help to answer some of the questions both you and your child might ask as they move towards leaving school.
