History
History at Samuel Cody is intended to be an inclusive and enjoyable experience for pupils of all levels. It is designed to give the pupils a vision and knowledge of the past which may help them make a little more sense of events taking place today.
During the Key Stage 3 curriculum, we begin with life during Medieval times, moving on to the early modern world including the Industrial Revolution and then in Year 9 to examine a number of major events starting at the beginning of the last century to the end of the Cold War.
We use a chronological model to teach our History as we feel it enables the pupils to make links and comparisons in a much more understandable way.
